TCR Korea: 2018

One of many national touring car championships to utilise the TCR regulations debuted by the TCR International Series in 2015, TCR Korea contested a single season in 2018. These regulations provide a relatively accessible means of racing full-on customer tin-tops, with models available from a wide range of manufacturers.

Given it lasted a single season, it isn’t surprising that TCR Korea was one of the shortest-lived TCR championships. The series consisted of three rounds, though only two drivers actually participated in all of them. In total just ten drivers made an appearance in the championship, though all bar one would at least reach the podium.

A second season was planned for 2019 with an expanded calendar, but this fell through due to behind the scenes difficulties with the series organisers. Since then there haven't been any signs of a revival for the series, making TCR Korea one of the more obscure TCR championships.
