British Endurance Championship (BEC): 2022-Present

Effectively a re-branding of the popular Britcar endurance series, the championship’s change in name coincided with the British Endurance Championship’s elevation to National title status. While still not quite at the level of popularity Britcar enjoyed at its peak, the series has received a boost in profile thanks to its new position in the British national racing scene.

A wide selection of different types of car feature in the BEC, spread across several classes. GT3, GT4, TCR, and various one-make cup cars (Ferrari Challenge, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, etc) are joined by track-day specials and independently constructed competition cars.

Given the focus of this site, the TCR class is the primary interest here. Entry numbers have been fairly small so far, however there is certainly plenty of potential for the class given the popularity of TCR cars in endurance events around the world.

Note: Only results and stats for the TCR class are recorded here, as this is the sole touring car class in the championship. For the 2024 season this class expanded to include other specs of touring car (NGTC, S2000, etc), and will continue to be covered here.
